3 Key Steps to Attract Financial Abundance

Updated: Nov 13, 2019

Sometimes when we feel stuck, we don’t notice opportunities to attract abundance all around us. No worries, you aren’t alone on this. Opportunities to attract financial abundance comes in many different forms. So it can be easy to miss.

We are all able to live in abundance regardless of our past money mistakes. In fact, regardless of our current financial struggles, we can still raise our frequency to align with the frequency of abundance.

After all, no matter what “mistakes” or “failures” we’ve made in the past, we have the choice to choose to not allow the past to define us. Yet, circumstances that were not in our control are sometimes the hardest to get over.

It comes down to making the effort to release the negative emotions around the situation to align with a higher frequency. Here are three simple steps to start attracting abundance flow into your life.

1. Notice daily callings.

Throughout my 20’s and early 30’s, I kept on trying to figure out what the heck my calling was. Why was I here on this planet?

Although most described me as an upbeat and cheerful person, deep down, I felt unfulfilled. I was in a career path that I didn’t care much about and it probably showed at the office too.

Without much balance in my personal and professional life, I hit a breaking point. After the gazillionth meltdown, I knew I had to change my life around.

The change happened gradually. Basically, it all started with gaining clarity on my calling and taking baby steps to align with my calling.

First, what is a calling?

It is your authentic self communicating to direct you to a sense of purpose. When you are not in line with your calling, you tend to feel restless, frustrated, and disconnected.

A lot of times, we don’t listen to our calling because of what society says, or we focus on what will make us more money, or we want to live up to other people’s expectations, and so forth.

If we are not listening to our calling, our intuition will start to kick in. For instance, you may feel your job isn’t sitting well with you anymore and it feels like you’ve outgrown where you are. In addition, you may feel increasingly bored, suffocated, and unfulfilled.

A calling is not necessarily something we must do, but we’ll be a lot happier when we are in alignment with our calling. When you “hear” your own voice, you feel a sense of peace. That’s your intuition guiding you to your calling!

Being called happens moment by moment during the day.

For instance, you may have the inclination to reach out to an old friend and that friend was just thinking of you too. Anothing calling on the smaller scale is listening to your body. Sometimes we overwork ourselves when our bodies need rest.

Thus, a calling requires following the energy. As you heed to the smaller callings throughout the day, you’ll be able to heed to the larger callings in life!

2. Be open to receive.

So in order to figure out our calling, we must be open to receive information from our surroundings, or the Universe. Be aware of any biases and preconceived notions to keep an open mind.

We are able to receive only what we are willing to hear.

Having an open mind, be it in relationships or career opportunities, will allow us to receive the intuitive messages that will guide us to the next steps.

What information are we looking for? Information telling us what society needs from us. This can depend on our knowledge and talents, among other factors.

Each day, ask what it is that you can contribute to society. Notice as you’ll become more attuned to which of your skill sets that your surroundings are calling for.

By framing it this way, it takes a lot of pressure off of you. Instead, it places some of the responsibility on the Universe to align your skill sets accordingly.

Sometimes this requires hiring a professional, to help you identify and remove blocks along the way.

For instance, say you are looking to buy a house in a different city. You may need to let go to the mental block that you must “do everything yourself.”

This allows you to be open to hire a realtor to gain more area knowledge and use their skill sets. In the end, you’ll likely save yourself hours, if not days and months, of figuring it all out yourself.

3. Continue to go back to your “WHY”.

Why are you trying to attract abundance? So you can quit your 9-5 to travel the world? To be able to start your own business helping others?

Don’t think financial freedom is possible? Nonsense. I’m living proof that it is!

My financial history is far from perfect.

There are many things I wish I did differently with my money in my 20’s and early 30’s. I made a lot of financial mistakes from not investing early to overspending on things I didn’t need.

Even as a business major in college, one would think I’d be better with my personal finances. I figured, all I had to do was make more than I spend. Boy was I wrong.

Enough was enough.

It wasn’t until I realized how much I craved freedom from a cubicle that I started waking up to my beliefs and habits around money. And when I really couldn’t stand my job, I knew I needed to have an exit strategy.

Sometimes I stuck to this plan. Other times, I would just quit the next day without a Plan B. Not my best moment.

I ended up going back to the employer for my job back.

Since I was so frustrated with the 9-5 rat race, I wanted to achieve financial freedom earlier than the average retirement age. I knew I had more to contribute to society than what I was doing at my cubicle all day.

So I got clear on my “why.”

I wanted to be able to travel whenever I wanted. I wanted to be able to take a nap in the middle of the day. Most importantly, I wanted to be able to help others by sharing my financial journey on Not A Bond Girl.

Align your “why” with your values.

When in alignment, energy is better able to flow. After all, money is energy! So get clear on your values. What are you passionate about? What are your interests?

Note that passions and interests are two very different things. Some of us don’t have a particular lifelong passion since birth. But we can have lots of interests worth pursuing.

If you have a range of passions and interests, great! Sometimes it makes things a bit trickier to narrow down and differentiate between our values, passions, and interests.

Aligning with your values is a lifelong practice. So keep on taking small but consistent steps each day!
