How to Manifest with the Law of Cause + Effect

Over the weekend, two friends commented that I had "good boundaries." I actually disagreed. Lately, I've just been saying "no" to everyone and everything. Feeling so burned out from brain pickers, I started to wonder why so people lack self-awareness in the world of business.

10 Ways to Set Energetic Boundaries in Work + Life I'm a work in progress when it comes to setting boundaries with friends, clients, family and strangers. I tend to feel anxious quickly when it comes to people asking for help. Though I know people aren't out to get me, I had my fair share of being burned by marketing agencies, businesses and referrals. It's a matter of finding that balance between saying yes to the point of resentment and saying no to the point of closing the door on potentially great opportunities.

Law of Cause and Effect The law of cause and effect states that every single action in the universe produces a reaction. Simply put, every effect, has a cause, an original starting point.

When we contribute positive energy, we are likely to attract positive effects. Such positive effects can be in the form of financial gains, meaningful relationships, personal growth, love, and so much more. Bad ass billionaires Oprah, Sara Blakely, Beyonce and all the bad ass business women of the world got to where they are by contributing something to society. Their contributions included their creativity, time, talent and wisdom. Basically, they contributed their positive energy. It doesn't mean you have to stand in front of a big stage with 10 million people in the audience. Contributing your positive energy can be as simple as starting with your thoughts. Start saying "no" so you can say "yes" to yourself. Here's what I've said "no" to just this week without any regrets:

1. A stranger who asked to "pick my brain" for her digital marketing project. At least she had the decency to start the conversation with "Feel free to say NO..."

2. A group of college-aged women asking me to take their photo. None of them were wearing masks and there was no way I was going to touch their camera.

3. Two separate businesses who asked if I would teach a free workshop for their clients in exchange for "exposure".

4. An acquaintance who persistently asked me to audit her Pinterest account and provide recommendations to help increase lead conversions. I've helped her numerous times in the past but lately have said "no" the last few times.

5. A business owner I just met via a Meetup mastermind asked me to set aside an hour with her to discuss Pinterest marketing for her business.

Raise your vibrations by valuing your worth. To all the business owners who continue to ask me for free consults or email me with "quick" marketing questions I say: No, thank you. It's called a Strategy Session on my Service page and I charge at least $250. When it comes to running a service-based business, I hear a lot of "no's" and I'm learning to say "no" myself. Otherwise, I'm just going to spin my wheels working for free. It's so easy for these business owners to type their questions in the Search bar on my Home Page. 99.9% of the time, they will find at least a blog or two that can answer their question. So let's all work together to be better about this. By saying "no", we are valuing our worth. We are helping each other's businesses by teaching people to respect our time and energy.

Manifest your goals with the Law of Cause + Effect. If you are feeling overwhelmed and on edge, your thoughts are likely fear-based. The heaviness of anxious thoughts can spiral down the rabbit hole of negativity. While it's impossible to change every single one of your thoughts, it is possible to allow your negative thoughts to pass on by without lingering too long. By observing your thoughts as just thought, rather than defining yourself by them, you are shifting your energy. Energy flows where your thoughts go.

If you feel like you're stuck, start with holding a positive thought for 17 seconds. According to Abraham-Hicks, focusing on something for 17 seconds activates a matching vibration. Focusing on it beyond 17 seconds attracts more thoughts that match that vibration. The longer the focus, the stronger the power. And if you manage to hold a positive thought for as little as 68 seconds, the vibration is powerful enough to begin its manifestation.
